Monthly Tornado Siren Test

Monthly siren testing will repeat monthly on the first Tuesday at noon.

The City of New Haven will conduct its monthly tornado siren test on the first Tuesday of each month at 12:00pm.

This is a test only and no action is required.

The purpose of this test is to ensure the outdoor warning siren system is functioning properly in the event of severe weather. Residents are reminded that tornado sirens are designed to alert people who are outdoors and should not be relied upon as the sole means of receiving weather warnings.

Please ensure you have multiple ways to receive severe weather alerts, including NOAA Weather Radio, local media, and mobile weather alert apps.
